All you do when you raise your voice is get the other person to stop listening.
Earlier this morning on my way to work, I had coins and hundred bills on my purse.
To be able to cross the flooded area in my place, I have to ask for a tricycle driver to take me to other side. I gave him Php 20.00 in return. Going to work requires me to ride two PUVs. The first ride went well. It is during the second ride that I had this problem.. I paid the driver a hundred bill but he returned it to me saying that he only accepts coins since it was his first trip that day. Problem is, I have only Php 3.00 left on my purse. I actually thought of transferring to another jeep just to be able to provide for my own fare but I didn’t. Instead, I asked my seatmate if he has smaller bills but unfortunately he doesn’t have any. He then earnestly offered to pay my fare but I politely refused. I scanned through my bag again hoping to find scattered coins anywhere but no luck. He again asked how much more I needed but I politely told him again that it’s okay. A moment later, a guy nearly my age, offered to change the hundred bill for me without me even asking. Right here and then, I was able to pay and I thanked him for his kindness.
Today, I’m thankful for all the good men out there. Kudos!
From this point on until the day after tomorrow, I’ll be chillin like snorlax or rather a bear cause for sure more than anything else, I’ll be spending more time with my bed.. Hibernating. Enjoy the simplest things guys. x
We are worth the compensation and be treated equally. We complain only and only when the situation really seems to be misfit. Complexities of life as life.
